Welcome to the Rowan County Transportation Department. Providing safe and efficient transportation to local schools, atheletic events and ESS (Extended School Services).

The fleet consists of 44 regular route buses, 4 special needs buses, 4 pre-school buses. 3 passenger vans, and 1 cargo van.The buses travel over 3300 miles per day and transport approximately 2,000 students twice a day. In addition, approximately 100 field trips and 350 athletic trips are taken each year. Students are also transported for ESS (Extended School Services), work training programs, and other special requests.
