Rowan Academy Of Virtual Education 2024-2025 Application For Enrollment

Enrollment

Students wishing to be considered for enrollment in the RAVE program must complete the application in full and return to Rowan County Middle School or Rowan County Senior High School no later than August 15 of each year. If accepted, enrollment is for one year only. Each year students must reapply for the RAVE program. If accepted, both the student and parent are required to meet with the RAVE Coordinator and Facilitator to complete the Enrollment Agreement and submit payment.

Coursework

Students enrolled in RAVE will complete 6 courses. These courses are to be completed in full to receive credit. Coursework enrollment is from the Tuesday after Labor Day through the First Friday in May. Students with incomplete coursework will be required to report in person the remainder of the school year.

Progress Monitoring

Parents/Guardians and students will receive a weekly communication from the RAVE Teacher Facilitator. It is important that the student and parent/guardian communicate with the facilitator any issues students may be experiencing. We will work with students and families through situations; however, we must be notified in order to help.

State Testing

Students enrolled in RAVE must complete all state mandated testing. Failure to do so will automatically result in non-renewal of RAVE Enrollment.

RAVE Orientation

Each year there is a mandatory RAVE Orientation set the week prior to RAVE courses beginning. This orientation is required for all. This is an opportunity for families to meet the RAVE staff and get everything situated before beginning coursework the following week.
